Kashmir Downtown Valley - Documentary

This has been the most challenging yet best experience of a documentary that I have had. We planned to shoot a documentary in the old town of Kashmir Valley which is a high security zone. The most challenging part of this documentary was the pre-production of the film as while sitting in Mumbai we got in touch with a local line producer and went department to department to procure permission to shoot at particular locations in the Downtown Valley which was a very big task to secure and alongside we also managed to get permission to fly drone over the city to get a Eagle’s View of the city. The next challenging task has to be actually shooting it as despite the permission on paper the local crowd or tourist places denied the permission to shoot yet we managed it. It was shot within a span of a week including recce’s as we were only permitted for a limited time period considering security reasons.
